PADI UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the rise of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever. This is why there are actually 2 PADI underwater photography courses.

The PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty course can help you learn how to take your fist underwater photographs or fine tune your existing skills to produce photographs that will stun your friends.

What do I need to start?

PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification
(or qualifying certification from another organisation)

Minimum Age: 10 years

What will I Learn?

You'll learn the basics of underwater photography such as composition, film type and camera handling, with special emphasis on practical techniques as well as underwater photography dive planning, organisation, procedures, techniques and potential problems.

You'll also learn:

How to choose the right underwater camera system for you
The PADI S.E.A. method for getting great shots quickly
The three primary principles for good underwater photos
How to care for and maintain your camera equipment

How long will it take?

Minimum Open Water Training: 2 dives over one day
1 x Knowledge review session
