DIVERSE SCUBA STONEY COVE INFORMATION Stoney Cove is the National Diving Centre in Leicestershire which offers excellent facilities for both training and recreational diving. It is home to "The Stanegarth", the largest inland ship wreck in the UK. In order to offer the best facilities for scuba training, Diverse Scuba use Stoney Cove for the open water elements of our PADI Diving Courses, visiting on the first weekend of each month from May to November, check our Diary for specific weekend dates.

Stoney Cove Course Information

Stoney Cove has many things to explore at a whole range of depths and especially at the six metre level. For a first open water dive on the six metre ledge, it would be possible to visit a submarine, aeroplane cockpit and a sizeable block house which you can enter easily. Add to this the drop off where the ledge ends that gives novices an idea of how deep over six metres can appear, and the vast number of perch, roach, some very large pike and lots of little crayfish, it can make an excellent first underwater experience.

Course Weekends at Stoney Cove

For our course weekends at Stoney Cove, Diverse Scuba has prepared a complete package for your convenience.

• Two nights Bed & Breakfast - based on TWO Sharing a Twin or Double bedded room.
• En Suite Bathroom Facilities with Power Shower.
• Tea/Coffee Making facilities.
• Your choice of Continental or Full English Breakfast.

also includes:

• Kit Hire for all students on courses.
• Supplement for the parking we require at the dive site.
• Air fills for both Saturday & Sunday.
• Refreshments provided by Diverse Scuba.
  

Total price: £160 per person.   (Single supplement: £15 per person per night)

Rate for accompanying Non-Diver is £80 per person.

Students / Divers NOT requiring the Hotel Package: 2 day Kit/Air package is £85

Total Payment would be appreciated two weeks in advance to assist us in our pre-payment of invoice for above itinerary enabling us to keep costs low.

What is not included

The following items are not included in the package price.

• Personal travel arrangements
• Evening meals, weekend snacks & drinks  ( Snack Bar on site )
• Personal entry fee to Stoney Cove -   £17 per day  ( Divers only, cash recommended )

Personal Packing Requirements

You should bring the following items with you:

• Casual, comfortable clothes and footwear
• Toiletries
• Swimwear to wear under your semi-dry suits
  

Plus a small bag to take to the dive site with:

• 20 pence coins for shower facilities
• Spare T-Shirt & Fleece to adorn between dives
• Towel, spare underwear, shower gel & other ablutionary requirements

Photo Requirements

All students are required to submit 4 passport size photograhs to Diverse Scuba.

An additional Photo will be necessary for the weekend along with your entry receipts to Stoney Cove, should you wish to become a member of Stoney Cove.
